I'm a software engineer at Dave.com. At Dave, our goal is to change the face of finance by putting financial minds at ease. We offer banking services and an interest-free advance product to help members avoid overdraft fees. Most recently, I worked on a tool that helps our members find Side Hustles.

Before Dave, I was at Joany. At Joany, our mission was to build the future of healthcare. We built a simplified healthcare shopping experience. We also offered services to help members take full advantage of their health insurance.

Evolving the Broken Healthcare System

While at Joany, part of personalizing healthcare and giving access to insurance to everyone, we embarked on looking deeper at how people use their health insurance.

COVID-19 Tracker

Tired of paywals, I built my own data visualization tool to help track daily new COVID-19 related cases and deaths. The tool allows you to cohort by U.S. counties and states. The data visualizer leverages Material UI components, Recharts, and fetches its data from the Covid ActNow Data API.

A Website for Express Cleaning

My good friend Roberto launched his own cleaning services business in Santa Barbara, CA. He’s the sweetest person you’ll ever meet and the last person you’ll ever need to hire for any of his services. I asked him if I could build his website as a project to help me learn responsive web development.

Clima

Another weather app the world doesn’t need.. joking. Leveraging OpenWeather’s API, I’m building a weather app with beautiful, warm colors and simplistic views.

Also, I enjoy riding my bike around town, going on local hikes, playing with my dog, and occupying coffee shops to work on perosnal projects and learn new tech.
